Q:I feel silly asking this. But what's the significance of Brian Scalabrine & what is the correlation between Wallace & Scalabrine?
Haha, if this is an honest question, then I’ll give an honest answer.
Late in Scalabrine’s career (and probably early on as well), he became sort of a “mascot” for any team he was on. I wouldn’t go as far as to say he was a joke because that puts too much of a negative tone to the role, but he was definitely a source of entertainment for the crowd. Fans chanted for him to come in the game during blowouts and cheered loudly every time he did something well. Similar to what the Knicks fans did the last few games with Rasheed.
But, it’s not the same. I think the Knicks fans are excited to have him on the team and excited for him to succeed. Again, we’ve wanted this guy to play for NY for so long… and he’s finally here! I think it’s just more shock and excitement that he can still contribute.

It’s definitely an excitement for me to have him on the team. But he can give us valuable mins. That at Philly game was evident of what he can do for us: space the floor with a 3 and or post up
