Knicks Use Pistons to Get Back on Track, Remain Perfect at Home
Final Score: Knicks 121, Pistons 100
Record: 9-3 (1st in Atlantic, 2nd in Eastern Conference)
Current Streak: Won 1
Melo came out firing pouring in 15 of his game high 29 points in the first. There was a graphic that came on during the second quarter showing that Anthony is leading the league in first quarter scoring. Interesting…
New York needed a game like this against a bad team to get things back in order.
Even Novak found his shooting stroke knocking down five 3-pointers.
What 2 Watch:
- Defense - was much better this game, but the Knicks are still having a bit of trouble with back door plays and challenging guys at the rim. Something is definitely off with Tyson. Maybe he’s just trying to hard. It was very nice to have Rasheed back in the line-up.
- Greg Monroe - for the most part, the Knicks were able to keep him out of the paint.
After watching Camby today, it makes sense why Camby hasn’t been playing. He’s not really in game shape. Looks to just labor up and down the court. If we are playing a bruising center, then yes… would make sense to put him in there. But, right now against quicker team? He shouldn’t be in there.
Big game tomorrow night against the Nets. Will be a fun one.
KNOTEWORTHY KNICK OF THE GAME: Easy to give it to Carmelo, but JR Smith had a helluva game. Pretty much did everything today - 15 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists, 1 steal
