Amar'e May Return Around Christmas

Sources are telling the NY Post that Amar’e is expecting to be back around Christmas. To be honest… I really don’t know what happened with this injury. There was the news about a cyst bursting behind his knee, then swelling of the knee, then other things with the knee. But, is it me, or have details been sketchy? Without knowing exactly what’s going on, it’s hard to believe if he is actually coming back late December since it’s just around the corner and he hasn’t been practicing at all with the team.

On another NBA related note, I have no problem with what Popovich did last night with sending his starter back home instead of playing the HEAT. He can do whatever he wants. The only reason why it was such a big deal was most likely TNT was pissed the Spurs didn’t have their stars for a nationally televised game against Miami. I’m sure the call between TNT and Stern wasn’t a pleasant one.

EDIT: According to ESPN, Amar’e had: “Stoudemire had left knee debridement during the offseason.” Debridement is the removal of damaged tissue or foreign objects from a wound (I had to Google that).
