Knicks Make Wizards Go Poof; Still Undefeated at Home
Final Score: Knicks 108, Wizards 87
Record: 11-4 (Tied for 1st in Atlantic, Tied for 2nd in Eastern Conference)
Current Streak: Won 2
JR Smith put it well during the walk-off interview: ”they are a struggling team, we want to win by as much as we can.”
I guess winning by 21 points is enough, right?
By the way, was only two points off with my pregame prediction of “Knicks 108, Wizards 85.” So close!
The Knicks are now 6-0 at home this season and according to Tommy Beer of Hoopsworld, they are 17-1 at home since Woody took over last season. Pretty impressive.
Really great to see the bench hustling until the final minute, showing coach Woody everyone is taking this game seriously.
Pregame “key match-up” I had Brewer and Beal. Brewer did a solid job, even with a metal splint on his finger. I’m impressed with Beal, a lot quicker than a thought. He’ll keep getting better and better. Great looking jumper.
What 2 Watch (pregame)
- Priggie Smalls did it again. Can’t ask for much more from this guy. Really solid play finishing with 8 points and 5 assists (one of those a pretty one to JR Smith for a reverse dunk)
- Singleton - zeros across the stat line (except for 2 blocks)… =)
Let’s keep this going.
KNOTEWORTHY KNICK OF THE GAME: JR Smith - yet another all around game from our sixth man: 20 points, 6 assists, 2 rebounds
