Knicks vs. T’Wolves (Game 27): Dec. 23, 5:00 PM EST
New York Knicks: 19-7 (11-2 at home)
Minnesota Timberwolves: 13-11 (5-8 on the road)
Head-to-Head: First Meeting
Last game of the six game home-stand.
We would have all loved for the Knicks to go 6-0 during it, but can admit that was asking for a lot.
I’d be pretty satisfied with going 4-2.
The Knicks catch a break today as Kevin Love didn’t make the trip to New York due to an eye injury. With Rasheed still out, we’re going to need all the help against opposing big men.
The T’wolves are coming off a big win against the Thunder, but having Love out and Rubio not really 100% yet (although he is gradually being worked back into the line-up), the Knicks should be able to win today.
Key Matchup: Chandler vs. Pekovic - don’t sleep on Pekovic.
What 2 Watch:
- Ricky Rubio - I really wanted to draft this guy, but David Kahn was a jackass and picked him #5 and the Knicks ended up with Jordan Hill. I’m a big fan of Rubio and will be paying close attention.
- Ronnie Brewer - where the hell has this guy been?
Need to bounce back after that bad loss against the Bulls.
By the way, when it happened, we all thought the second technical foul called on Melo during the Bulls game was bullshit and the league thought so too. The NBA has rescinded that technical foul.
Betting Line: Knicks by 8.5 (O/U 198.0)
Prediction: Knicks 102, T’Wolves 91
Prediction Record: 18-8
