Q:2 questions.. if we are 21-8 and heat is 20-8, why are heat first in the eastern conference (regarding to nba's standings on their site)? another question idk if you'll know the answer to this question, if amar'e traveled with the team on this roadtrip why wasn't he sitting on the bench like shump? i'm assuming melo was back at the hotel or something because he had a sore knee

thanks for the questions.

1. As of this morning, the Heat are 20-6 right, so they are slotted in 1st because of the fewer losses.

2. In regards to Amar’e not sitting on the bench, I’m not really sure about one. We’ve all seen Iman on the bench pretty much the whole season as he rehabs from injury. Amar’e on the other hand, we haven’t seen much of, even at home games. It’s odd, there was actually a home game where he was in the stands and not on the bench (or was that the Nets game?). To be honest, I don’t have a good answer to this one. Maybe he is watching in the locker room or something while getting treatment after his pre-game workouts? I just tweeted that question to Alan Hahn to see if he has a good answer. Hopefully he’s got something.
