Q:getting a little worried here/ not liking these slow starts. what do you think is to come for this month?
Thanks for the question.
What’s worrying me is the regression on defense. Obviously they can turn it on when they want as we’ve seen in the last two games in the closing minutes, but that’s not something you want to make a habit.
Not sure what’s going on. Is Rasheed really that important? That thought is a bit scary considering he’s 38 years old and his health will be in question throughout the whole season.
Woody says they need more practice… that’s part of it, but it just doesn’t seem like the “want” is there anymore on the defensive side of the ball.
I’m putting this right on Melo and Chandler.
Looking at the schedule in January, we’re in for a tough stretch. The Knicks have games against the Spurs (1), Celtics (2), Pacers (1), Bulls (1), Hawks (1) and Philly (1) mixed in with a few lower tier teams. If they’re not careful, New York could rack up losses pretty quickly.
I’ll give the Knicks a little break as they work Amar’e back into rotation (and eventually Iman), but I’m definitely a bit nervous.
Good thing we won all those games the first two months to give us a little cushion.

Word. I feel like we could easily lose 4,5 games in a row though, and be sitting at 20-16, which is not so great. It’s still early in the season.
