Knicks Rediscover D Against Weary Spurs
Final Score: Knicks 100, Spurs 83
Record: 22-10 (1st in Atlantic, 2nd in Eastern Conference)
Current Streak: Won 1
Well then… the Knicks certainly woke up!
Taking advantage of a Spurs team that was playing their fourth game in five nights, the Knicks sort of blitzed them out of the Garden.
Defense, defense, defense… glad to you see back.
Quick fact: this was the first time we swept the Spurs in a season in 10 years.
Post Game Knotes
- The focus on D was there from the get-go. The Knicks held SA to just 19 points in that first quarter, sub90 for the game.
- Look at that, we actually out-rebounded a team (48-35)
- What a game by Pablo coming off the bench and dishing out 9 assists
- JR with his 5th straight game of 20 points or more.
- Speaking of JR, my God that was a ridiculous alley-oop dunk. Need a video of that. Definitely top 10 dunk of the year.
- Much better outing from Amar’e. Slowly but surely we’ll get this guy back to form.
- Even Ronnie Brewer regained his stroke a little.
Simply, the Knicks wanted it tonight.
KNOTEWORTHY KNICK OF THE GAME: Tyson Chandler - set the tone early and all throughout the game. Did a great job on Timmy - 10 points, 14 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 block (+16 +/-)
