The Tyson Chandler Tap-Out
You all have probably noticed this by now, but Tyson Chandler has made it his “thing” to tap-out the ball to his teammates for offensive rebounds.
But, who does the offensive rebound get credited to?
@ByNateTaylor (Twitter: NYTimes) Has the Answer -
“”Chandler is credited with an offensive rebound if he makes a clean, direct tap-out to a teammate. When the Knicks have to chase for the ball after Chandler’s tap-out, official scorekeepers will award the offensive rebound to the player who tracks down the ball.”
I had absolutely no idea this was how it was credited.
Thanks for clearing it up Nate!
