Knicks vs. Celtics (Game 34): Jan. 7th, 7:30 PM EST
New York Knicks: 23-10 (13-3 at home)
Boston Celtics: 16-17 (6-11 on road)
Head-to-Head: First Meeting
TV: MSG
I’ll say this right away. I want to beat the Celtics. I want to beat them badly.
If we lose, it will hurt. It always does.
As long as Boston has those three guys that I absolutely can’t stand (Pierce, KG and Rondo), they are a tough team to beat no matter what their record says.
BUT, it’s being reported that Rondo is suspended for tonight’s game for “failure to cooperate with the league” while they were investing the incident of him making contact with an official during a game (Woj from Yahoo!).
Looks like tonight got a bit easier.
Key Matchup: Melo vs. Pierce. It will always comes down to Pierce and Melo.
Over/Under Game:
- Pierce Points: 20
- Melo Points: 25
- Kidd Assists: 6
- Garnett Fouls: 4
- Kidd Steals: 2
The Celtics have definitely improved since getting Avery Brady back (our equivalent to Iman Shumpert).
Sullinger is a guy we need to watch out for.
Camby should be getting the start or Melo may be pushed to the 4.
Betting Line: Knicks by 6 (O/U 193.0)
Prediction: Knicks 97, Celtics 85
Prediction Record: 22-11

I hate it when we play the celtics, however pierce rondo and kg are some of my favorite players in the league. You just gotta respect the work they’ve put in over the past couple of years.
