Knicks Lose Critical Division Game Against Raptors
Final Score: Raptors 100, Knicks 98
Record: 32-20 (1st in Atlantic, 3rd in Eastern Conference)
Current Streak: Lost 4
The losing streak now hits four, first time Woodson (as coach of New York) has lost this many in a row.
Not looking good right now folks. This was a pretty important division game.
Can someone tell me why Jason Kidd was afraid to put up a shot toward the end of the game?
To sum this up, the Raptors took full advantage of the Knicks “switching” on defense strategy. A simple screen set up a huge mis-match… most of the time it was Tyson Chandler guarding either Lowry or Lucas.
The effort was there early in the game and somewhat late, but the offense just looked out of whack to finish it out. Isn’t it Melo’s job to close out games?
And what the hell is Earl Monroe talking about that Gay isn’t a closer? Wasn’t that his role in Memphis?
Anyway, shitty loss… very shitty loss.
Over/Under Game Result: No Winners
- Melo 24.5 Points: Over (32)
- DeRozan & Gay Combined 38.5 Points: Over (50)
- JR Smith 3.5 Rebounds: Over (4)
- Knicks 5.5 Steals: Under (5)
- Knicks 8.5 Three Pointers: Over (10)
Bleh.. not happy right now.
Because the Pacers won tonight, they moved into 3rd in the Eastern Conference… f*ck.
KNOTEWORHTY KNICK OF THE GAME: I thought JR had a good game… played Gay tough and was effective on the offensive end - 19 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 steal
