JR Smith took a huge step forward last game in regaining his shot/confidence. He’s not all the way there yet.

We haven’t won a game in Indiana yet this series. It’s a tough place to play and the Pacers seems like a completely different team when they play at home… especially Hibbert. Appears his motor jams up when he is traveling.

I’m going through every single emotion you can right now waiting for this game to start.

I don’t want the season to end just yet.

My frustration with myself is extremely high. I take the blame for this whole series. It started off in (Game 5) in Boston… I haven’t been playing (like) myself. I haven’t been playing my part. I’ve been letting my teammates down. I’ve been letting my coaches down. And it doesn’t feel good.

JR Smith after the loss last night (quote via New York Daily News): It’s simple, the Knicks can’t survive without JR. I’ll give a ton of credit to the Pacers, specifically Hibbert. They have manhandled us and taken us out of everything we do. But, the JR slump couldn’t have come at a worse time.

Focus on Game 5… just need that win and we’ll go from there.

Game 4 @ IND: May 14th, 7:00 PM EST TNT

Series: Indiana Leads 2-1
Betting Line: Pacers by 5.5 (O/U 180.0)

The ALL important Game 4… the entire complexion of the series can change tonight.

We either lose and go down 3-1 in the series, which is extremely difficult to come back from.

OR, continue to make it a series and tie it up at 2-2.

If we win tonight, it turns into a 3 game series and we have home-court advantage again. I like our odds in that scenario.

As for the “spat” Tyson Chandler and Melo are in… I wouldn’t read too much into it. The media blows things WAY too far out of proportion and fans generally overreact accordingly.

Just stay calm… no need to freak out… yet.

If we lose.. then FULL ON freak out mode hahah.

As he stated, you can expect Melo to come out super aggressive tonight.

Will this be the game that JR finally breaks out? I really thought it was going to be Game 3, but I guess the flu was a bit too much for him.

Main goal for tonight… run Hibbert’s ass off the court.

Heard around twitter:

  • Kenyon and JR are feeling better, they will play. No one else is sick (Tina Cervasio, MSG Networks).
  • An Orthopedic is flying in to evaluate Shumpert’s left knee. Woodson says its swollen and “they will direct me… where to go with Iman.” (Tina Cervasio)
  • Shumpert did not participate in shoot around due to sore left knee. (Knicks PR)

A little mixed bag there. Good news is that JR and Martin are feeling better. Bad news is Iman’s knee is hurting. I guess he was pushing a little too hard these last couple of games. Hopefully it’s nothing serious, but you have to be worried a bit knowing that a specialist (the guy who performed his surgery) is coming in and looking at it.

Game 3 @ IND: May 11th, 8:00 PM EST ABC

Big game. Need to steal one of the next two while in Indiana. Ideally, both.

JR Smith is questionable for tonight due to an “illness”

Hungover? ha maybe.

But wouldn’t it be great if he broke out of his slump with a “flu game.”

Grunwald third in Executive of Year voting

Denver’s Masai Ujiri won the award, but Grunwald should have finished higher than third… maybe even first with the type of moves he made for this season and during the season.

He solidified the point guard position with Ray, JKidd and Pablo… which was a CLEAR weakness last year. He filled the team with veterans to instill that “win now” mentality. Chris Copeland, Kenyon Martin…. the guys just kept plugging away whenever someone went down.

Whatever, Grunwald was the winner in my book.

Oh, he also had the balls to hold onto Iman Shumpert as well when a few teams were pushing hard to get him.
